Roshni Sarkar:2008
WBCSMadeEasy:When and how did the inspiration and idea of joining civil service come in your mind?
Roshni Sarkar:for me it was not preplanned . after graduation
i was applying for different exams
WBCSMadeEasy:Tell something about yourself? Education Qualification, Marks/Division/Class, schooling…..
Roshni Sarkar:i cleared prelims thn stuck to it and was finally able to get a chance for appearing at the interview

WBCSMadeEasy:What factors did you consider before selecting your optionals? What were they?
Roshni Sarkar:subject with which i felt comfortable with and liked to study
there isnt any particular way of selecting
i chose anthro n hist thn chngd frm hist to geog
WBCSMadeEasy:why changed?
Roshni Sarkar:i didnt likd studying it initially chose it becoz it was popular as an optional just like anthro
anythng else
WBCSMadeEasy:How did you sustain the study-momentum throughout the year?
Roshni Sarkar:fr me it wasnt thruout the yr
two months before prelims
is crucial atleast fr me it ws fr clearing prelims
after tht i didnt wasted time thinking whether i clear prelims or nt
i prepd fr optionals throughly which made me sail thru mains
WBCSMadeEasy:How many hours did you study per day? How many months did it take you to complete the core syllabus of Compulsory and optional subjects?
Roshni Sarkar:abt a yr mostly spend fr collecting notes or prep thm
initially thn speeding up the processs
WBCSMadeEasy:How many hours did you study per day?
Roshni Sarkar:ididnt hd fixed schedule
WBCSMadeEasy:Did u used internet,is it was effective?
Roshni Sarkar:only during the period bet preli n mains i chlked out a routine and stuck to it

Roshni Sarkar:prtiyogita darpan mainly becoz thy write in pts

pls be confident if u dont knw somthng sy so insted of beating arnd the bush
the board ws cordial
be confident but dont be overcofident

wrk hard in an orderly manner n u will achieve ur goal
