There is no such bar on number of exams. As long as your age permits, you can take n number of times.
And one cycle of WBCS runs 1 – 1.5 years in a particular year, so actually the exam is held once in one year which include one prelims, one mains. one interview, if you start passing one by one.
Scheme of Examination:
W.B.C.S. (Exe.) etc. Examination will be held in two successive stages, viz., (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) and (ii) Main Examination (Both Objective and Conventional Type) and Personality Test. A number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Preliminary Examination will be allowed admission to the Main Examination and a number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Main Examination (Written) will be called to appear at the Personality Test.
