What is Pulwama Attack?
“44 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawans died in the deadliest terror attack ever in Awantipura in Jammu Kashmir’s Pulwama District”. A 22-year-old Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Adil Ahmad Dar who was identified as a suicide bomber rammed his car packed with IED explosives into a security Convoy on Thursday. This happened just 20kms far away from Srinagar. The convoy was coming from Jammu and the car which carried explosives was going in there opposite direction. This convoy had 43 buses and 2500 jawans in different buses. The car used was Mahindra Scorpio and it carried about 350kgs IED explosives. Just after the blast the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed took the responsibility for the attack as confirmed by an Army officer.

Action Taken By Governing Body
PM Modi paid the condolences to the martyrs and said that the revenge will be taken. He also said that whoever is behind this will be severely punished. PM Modi also warned all the terror groups, saying that they have made a big mistake. “I want to tell terror groups and their supporters that they have made a big mistake. I want to assure the nation that those behind this attack will definitely be punished” said PM Modi.

PM Modi asked the critics of the government to refrain from the political mudslinging at the moment. He also said the forces have been given full freedom to retaliate against the attack.

PM Modi also mentioned by saying that the nation has committed a big mistake, “If our neighbor who is totally isolated in the world thinks it can destabilize India through its tactics and conspiracies, then it is making a big mistake.”

“If our neighbor thinks by causing such destruction they can weaken India then its intentions will never be served. 130 crore Indians will give a befitting reply to every such conspiracy and attack” he added. He said that while Pakistan had chosen the path of destruction, India was on the road to progress.

The government also withdrew the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status from Pakistan and said that every step will be taken to isolate Pakistan from every international level. As the citizens of this country, we are outraged by this cowardly attack and angry. But after this black day, we should unite as Indians and support our army men. We should for now not bring any politics in this and pray for the family of those who have been martyred.

A CSS meeting was called on 15th Feb morning which was chaired by the Prime Minister. Mr. Singh, Mr.Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Nirmala Sitharaman were present at the meeting. Top security officials are learned to have made a presentation on the incident and the overall security situation in the State.
