WBCSMadeEasy:When and how did the inspiration and idea of joining civil service come in your mind?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:from childhood my father gave the inspiration

WBCSMadeEasy:Tell us something about yourself?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:b.sc frm siliguri college . schooling tarai tarapada adarsha bidhayalaya at siliguri . pass out h.s wt science steam 1st division.

WBCSMadeEasy:What factors did you consider before selecting your optional? What were they?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY: scoring than others. and how many time to cover whole syllabus. and day to day changing pattern are less.

WBCSMadeEasy:How did you sustain the study-momentum throughout the year?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:nt regular basis but sustain my study 12 to 13 hrs average

WBCSMadeEasy:How many hours did you study per day? How many months did it take you to complete the core syllabus of Compulsory and optional subjects?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:doing math every day. i dont think its a part of study but it was my compulsory work..fr optional sociology and pali i gave most of the time in a day. within 1 year i covered the whole syllabus but try to modification notes i read many other books whole through the year

WBCSMadeEasy:Did u use internet, was it effective?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:yes. Wikipedia took a great part in preparation and fr interview i completely depended on it.

WBCSMadeEasy:Were you doing any other job during preparation?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:no . only help by elder bother businesses.

WBCSMadeEasy:Which newspapers & magazines you went through?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:ANNADA BAZAR the bengali news paper read throughly every day. nd achivers, peshaprobesh . nd civil service times magazines were followed.

WBCSMadeEasy:Did u take coaching? How was the experience?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:after graduation i got coaching frm a so called famous coaching center of belgharia. but it was not effective for me and was waste of time.

WBCSMadeEasy:What about Interview in WBCS? Was the board cordial? What should be a proper preparation?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:average. bt board was cordial .and medium of conversation fully english. before interview i was helped by my friends fr English conversation and debt.

WBCSMadeEasy:Plz suggest some good books ,

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:fr preliminary go through madhyamik book fr basic or ncrt ‘s oldbooks. nd main yojana magazine read compulsory fr me nd fr new syllabus i read history k. reddy . geo khullar. scince nd tech h.s science nd wikipidia .

WBCSMadeEasy:What should be the strategy for cracking this exam?What message you want to give to all aspirants?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:patience nd hardwork . nt lose their faith to themselves .many obstacle would be come bt dnt lose ur dreams.

WBCSMadeEasy:Was it ur 1st attempt? If not what about previous ones? You are from which batch and what was your rank in WBCS Exam ?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY:its my 5th attempt where wbcs -2011 i first face the interview board by could nt succeed, wbcs 2012 i also came wth empty hand fr the interview nd wbcs 2013 i am selected fr wbcs c grp LRO WTH 67 RANK. bt wbcs 2014 my first choice was b grp nd the dreams comes true,

WBCSMadeEasy:What about the changing pattern of WBCS exam from 2014?

ARIJIT PAUL CHOWDHURY: No  compulsory nd math a vital part fr success so pls focus math nd compulsory nd always connect to social news nd info .
fr choosing optional must think about marks nd how much u like the subject thts view.
