There were 200 questions of 1 marks each and time allotted was 3 hours. 100 questions came from arithmatics and 100 from reasoning. The questions were not tough at all but the paper was overall very lengthy. In arithmatics portion questions came from a particular portions in lots, say time and work, profit loss, percentage etc. It seems that paper was set from some book and continuously 7 to 10 questions were from a particular chapter. And many portions / chapters were left out. It could have been more diversified because otherwise candidates get bored by doing same type of sums again and again. But the case was same for all the students, not for a particular candidate. So they were in same stage.

As far as the standard of the questions are concerned they are very easy and came from W B Govt School books, from standard VI to Standard X, mostly. So one need to complete those books first, not big books available.

For reasoning too, questions came too much from relationships etc, it could have been more diversified too. But at the same time, these were from very basic knowledge. So RS Agarwal's book or similar books are very good for this.

It is better to divide the time like one can allot 2 hours for 100 arithmatics question and 1 hour for reasoning. Since time is less , one should not stick to a particular question if he/she is unable to solve it even he/she may had done those type of sum few days back. No EGO should come between you and your success.Mark that sum and come back again if time permits.

No short cut method is required like banking services exam. It is a civil service exam and you need to have clear conception and yes, some formulas may help you a lot.There is no need to study vedic math.

ACCURACY than speed is important. Practice is also very important. Also do not leave any stone un-turned. Leaving any chapter may be suicidal if a lot of questions come from that particular chapter and you cannot solve those sums.

Overall if someone has scored 70-80% in this paper, he is at advantageous position.
