16 students fall sick after ammonia gas leak from fertilizer plant in Kota
• The children, who complained of nausea and fainting, were rushed to CFCL hospital, some referred to J.K. Lone Mother and Child Hospital in Kota.
• State Education Minister Madan Dilawar reported that five students were discharged after first aid, five others were admitted to CFCL hospital, and six others were hospitalised in Kota.
• The school and CFCL factory share boundaries, and the school principal rushed the students to the hospital.
• Kota Collector Ravindra Goswami has asked the State Pollution Control Board to probe the matter. Six medical teams were formed to conduct health check-ups.
• CFCL management refuted any incident of gas leak from its factory, stating that the incident in the nearby school was not due to CFCL.
