Saudi Arabia develops digital wage protection space

• Saudi Arabia is implementing digitally enforceable measures to ensure a secure working environment for foreign workers, including those from India.
• Officials from the Human Resources and Social Development Ministry presented plans to meet Saudi government’s Vision 2030, aiming to secure workers’ rights and reduce illegal immigration.
• The new labour rules, under the digital platform Musaned, will benefit at least 10 African countries and nine Asian countries.
• The platform allows foreign workers to check employment contracts and follow updates.
• The platform can be linked with contract insurance and health benefits.
