Two Navy task forces develop niche technologies: Vice Admiral

• Navy has established two task forces led by Rear Admirals to induct niche technologies.

• The task forces aim to fill capability gaps and acquire advanced technologies.

• The task forces are part of the Navy’s technology development accelerator cell (TDAC).

• The task forces focus on fuses, radars, quantum computing, interface devices, electronic and weapon technologies, and ammunition indigenousisation.

• The TDAC will continue to engage with start-ups and MSMEs.

• The event, Swavlamban 2024, will showcase the indigenisation efforts of the armed forces, innovation partners, and the Indian industry.
