India joins asset recovery network steering committee
• India, represented by the Directorate of Enforcement, has been included in the steering committee of ARIN-AP, a multi-agency network tackling crime proceeds in the Asia-Pacific region.
• The role will enable India to contribute to ARIN-AP’s decision-making and administrative responsibilities.
• India will assume the presidency of the network and host the annual general meeting in 2026.
• ARIN-AP facilitates cross-border collaboration on asset tracing, freezing, and confiscation.
• The network operates through a network of contact points, enabling effective communication among member agencies.
