Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Sworn in
• Devendra Fadnavis, the BJP leader, will become Maharashtra’s Chief Minister (CM) following the end of the logjam.
• The appointment was made by Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, who invited Fadnavis and his Mahayuti alliance to form the next government.
• The ceremony will take place at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai on Thursday, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union Ministers, and Chief Ministers of States ruled by the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.
• Fadnavis and two Deputy CMs will take oath on December 5. Details on the number of ministers to take oath will be announced later.
