Lokpal Calls SEBI Chief for ‘Oral Hearing’

• Anti-corruption ombudsman Lokpal has called SEBI chief Madhabi Puri Buch and complainants, including Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, for an ‘oral hearing’.

• The hearing is related to corruption complaints alleging impropriety and conflict of interest based on a Hindenburg Research report.

• Lokpal requested Buch’s explanation on the complaints led by Moitra and two others.

• Lokpal Chairperson Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and other members ordered the hearing to clarify their positions.
