Kandla Port Investments

• Mega ship building and repair project at ₹30,000 crore.

• New cargo terminal outside Kandla Creek at ₹27,000 crore.

• The new facility will increase the port’s capacity by 135 mtpa.

• The facility will manufacture ‘Very Large Crude Carrier’ vessels with up to 3,20,000 tonnes DWT.

• The facility will produce 32 new ships and repair 50 old ships annually.

• The new facility will include a marina, fishing harbor, townships, and marine industrial cluster.

• The Minister emphasized the importance of port infrastructure in supporting growth and economic development.
