Rashtrapati Bhavan’s ‘At Home’ Reception for 75 Years of India’s Formation

• The ‘At Home’ reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan is a unique event to commemorate 75 years of India’s formation.

• Guests receive a specially curated box of craftwork from the five southern states – Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

• The box, designed by President Droupadi Murmu, is symbolic of the 5,000-year civilisational history of Bharat and the message of sustainability and color schemes.

• The craft products are all made in the southern states, have GI tags, and are part of the “One District One Product” scheme.

• The box is packed in a bamboo weave box with Kalamkari paintings by Nimmalakunta artisans.

• The guest list includes ‘drone didis’, women achievers, agriculturists engaged in natural farming, and people with disabilities.
