Congress’s third guarantee: ₹8,500 monthly for unemployed youth in Delhi.

• Congress promises to provide ₹8,500 monthly for one year to educated unemployed youth in Delhi under the ‘Yuva Udaan Yojana’.

• This is the third promise made by the Congress ahead of the upcoming Assembly election.

• The party has previously promised ₹2,500 monthly for women under the ‘Pyaari Didi Yojana’ and free health insurance of up to ₹25 lakh under the ‘Jeevan Raksha Yojana’.

• AICC general secretary Sachin Pilot emphasized that the ₹8,500 monthly allowance will not be a “dole” but a job-oriented stipend to develop and enhance their skills.
