• Opposition Congress MLAs demanded a debate on the issue, accusing the BJP of settling political scores by abolishing districts.

• The dissolution of districts and divisions resulted in 41 districts and seven divisions.

• The issue of dissolution was taken to the Rajasthan High Court through public interest litigation, and a sub judice matter could not be discussed in the Assembly.

• Opposition Leader Tika Ram Jully raised objections, stating the rights of the House and MLAs cannot be curtailed on the pretext of a matter being sub judice.
