• The delegation, including BJP MP Raju Bista, demanded a permanent solution to the Gorkhaland issue and Scheduled Tribe status for 11 Gorkha sub-communities.
• The meeting was productive but not conclusive, with BJP MLA Neeraj Zimba expressing concerns about political justice and marginalization.
• Zimba emphasized the need for a Union Territory (UT)-like arrangement, stating that a UT without legislative assembly would not fulfill the aspirations of the people.
• The Ministry will inform the Gorkhas about the next meeting date after consultation with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
