Miss World 2025 begins with a cultural celebration.

• The 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant officially began at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.

• The event began with the State anthem and a declaration by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organisation Julia Morley, and reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszková.

• The event was invite-only, but those registered through the Telangana Tourism portal also secured entry.

• The opening ceremony featured folk and tribal dance traditions from Telangana, with contestants from 110 countries entering in four continent-based groups.

• The ceremony concluded with a flag parade, with the loudest applause reserved for Miss India Nandini Gupta.

• The Miss World finale is scheduled for May 31 at Hitex Exhibition Centre.
