  • Jaishankar says India-Pakistan discussions will be ‘strictly bilateral’

    • External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar reiterated India’s “strictly bilateral” dialogue with Pakistan.

    • He referred to the “national consensus” on conducting dialogue with Pakistan, stating there has been no change in this consensus.

    • Jaishankar clarified that talks with Pakistan will focus on India’s concerns about Pakistan-based terror outfits.

    • He stated that Pakistan has a list of terrorists to hand over and needs to shut down the terrorist infrastructure.

    • Jaishankar emphasized that these are the only feasible talks on terrorism.

    • His remarks came as President Trump referred to his role in bringing the Operation Sindoor to a halt.
