Bihar Cabinet Makes Domicile Mandatory for Women in State Government Jobs
• The Bihar Cabinet has made domicile mandatory for women to access the 35% reservation in state government jobs.
• The decision was made at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
• Women from other states applying for Bihar government jobs will be treated as general category candidates.
• The Cabinet also approved the constitution of the “Bihar Youth Commission” to make the state’s youth self-reliant, skilled, and employment-oriented.
