    • Thai and Cambodian forces clashed in several areas along their border, resulting in at least 11 deaths, mostly civilians.

    • Both sides fired small arms, artillery, and rockets, and Thailand called in air strikes.

    • The clashes were triggered by a mine explosion along the border that injured five Thai soldiers.

    • The conflict has deteriorated since a confrontation in May that killed a Cambodian soldier, leading to a sharp increase in scale and intensity.

    • The first clash occurred near the ancient Ta Muen Thom temple, with Thai forces hearing a drone before opening fire.

    • Cambodia’s Defence Ministry stated that Thailand deployed a drone before opening fire, and that Cambodia acted within the bounds of self-defence.

    • Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet requested an urgent meeting to stop Thailand’s aggression.
