    • Opposition protests disrupt Rajya Sabha proceedings, demanding a debate on the special intensive revision (SIR) of Bihar electoral rolls.

    • Deputy Chairman Harivansh reports that the Rajya Sabha lost nearly 57 hours of working time in the current Monsoon Session.

    • Deputy Chairman Harivansh rejected 20 notices given by members under Rule 267, stating they were used to create disorder in the House.

    • Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien stated that all notices by the Opposition will focus on the SIR issue.

    • CPI(M)’s John Brittas argued that Rule 267, which allows suspension of day’s business to discuss flagged issues, should be scrapped.

    • Congress’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha Pramod Tiwari urged the House to function and discuss the SIR issue.

    • Deputy Chairman Harivansh reported that the Rajya Sabha had lost 56 hours and 49 minutes.
