Announcement Regarding WBCS Exam 2024 – Official PSC Notice

The Public Service Commission, West Bengal (WBPSC) has officially announced that the West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) etc. Examination, 2024 (WBCS Exam 2024) will be conducted according to the existing Scheme and Syllabus laid down under Notification No. 437-PAR (WBCS)/1D-389/13 dated 27.02.2014.

Key Highlights of the Notice

• The WBCS 2024 exam pattern and syllabus will remain unchanged.
• The new Scheme and Syllabus mentioned in Notification No. 695-PAR(WBCS)/1D-179 (Part-II) dated 17.06.2025 will be implemented only from the WBCS 2025 examination onwards.
• Aspirants preparing for WBCS Preliminary, Mains, and Interview (Personality Test) for the year 2024 should therefore continue with the current syllabus.

Please note – WBCS Exam 2025 means the notification name “WBCS 2025”, not the actual date of exam which may be held on a later year. Age criteria will be calculated as per 1st January of the exam year as in PSC notification, which is 01.01.2025 for “WBCS 2025 Exam”.
