Here’s a ready-made table of WBCS Reservation of Seats (as per WBPSC rules):

⚖️ Other state candidates → treated as General (no reservation benefits).

⚖️ Other State SC/ST/OBC → treated as General (no reservation).
As per the WBCS 2023 Notification:

EWS Quota is also presently allowed.

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% reservation is provided in direct recruitment posts and services under the Government of West Bengal.
Candidates must have a valid EWS certificate issued by a competent authority in West Bengal.
EWS reservation is applicable only to domiciled candidates of West Bengal.

⚠️ Note: Candidates from other states applying under EWS are treated as General category (no EWS benefit).

From the WBCS 2023 Notification:

Certain posts in WBCS have reservation for Meritorious Sportspersons of West Bengal.
The quota is up to 2% of the total vacancies in direct recruitment.
Recognized sports: Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, and Boxing (as notified by Govt. of WB).
Candidates must possess valid Meritorious Sportsperson Certificate issued by the competent authority in West Bengal.

⚠️ Note: Sports quota is horizontal reservation → it cuts across categories (GEN/SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
