No cease-fire, Maoists must give up weaponry, says Shah

• He stated that “violent Naxalism” would be eradicated by March 31, 2026, and highlighted the need to confront its ideology.

• Shah addressed a letter from the Communist Party of India (Maoist), asserting that no ceasefire would occur and that those wishing to surrender must give up arms for rehabilitation.

• He criticized Left parties for their opposition to Operation Black Forest, questioning their empathy towards victims of Naxal violence.

• He rejected the notion that lack of development leads to Left-Wing Extremism, arguing that historical limitations on resource distribution are no longer applicable.

• Shah mentioned a 90% reduction in arms supply to Maoists since 2019, thanks to actions by agencies like the ED and NIA.

• He highlighted improvements in security through fortified camps, better intelligence-sharing, and coordination between Central and State forces.
