    • ₹5,000 crore has been allocated for modernizing fire safety, and volunteer groups Apda Mitra and Yuva Apda Mitra were established for capacity building.

    • Innovative projects worth ₹10,000 crore are underway, focusing on nature-based solutions to combat climate change and extreme weather.

    • Key infrastructure developed includes early warning systems, cyclone shelters, and embankments, reducing coastal vulnerability.

    • NDMA encourages revitalization of water bodies and green spaces, bio-engineering for landslide prevention, and emphasizes community training through educational initiatives and mock exercises.

    • India’s international coordination involves leading DRR initiatives and collaborating globally to share knowledge and sustainable solutions in response to climate change.
