• The BMWs, priced at approximately ₹70 lakh each, are described as the longest and most spacious car in the segment.

• Former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram questioned the public spending on the cars and hoped that Lokpal members would refuse to accept them.

• Congress communications chief Jairam Ramesh criticized the Lokpal for creating a false narrative against the Manmohan Singh government.
