India-Bhutan Border Management and Security Meeting

• India and Bhutan held a meeting in Thimphu to review border management and security.

• The meeting covered issues such as mobile signal spill over, integrated check post roadmap, boundary pillar maintenance, and cross-border movement.

• The meeting also covered capacity building for Bhutan’s police.

• The Indian delegation was led by Rajendra Kumar, Secretary, Department of Border Management, Home Ministry, while the Bhutanese side was led by Sonam Wangyel, Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs.

• The Indian delegation included officials from various sectors, including Customs and Assam, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh.
