A 21-day anti-Naxal campaign by CRPF and police displaces Maoist leadership.
• The 21-day anti-Naxal operation along Kareguttalu Hill on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border has successfully dislocated the top leadership of the Maoists.
• The operation, carried out from April 21 to May 11, involved 21 encounters and resulted in the death of at least 31 uniformed Maoists, including 16 women.
• The deceased were members of the banned CPI (Maoist) and part of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army Battalion No. 1, the Telangana State Committee, and the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee.
• The operation was described as the largest comprehensive and coordinated anti-Maoist operation in Chhattisgarh till date.
• The operation was a “historic breakthrough” in the resolve for #NaxalFreeBharat.
