A call for chaos
• The Nakba, a forced mass expulsion of Palestinians, occurred in 1948 and 1967.
• Israel has rejected Palestinians’ right to return to their homes in peace talks.
• U.S. President Trump plans to forcefully transfer 2.3 million Palestinians from Gaza, a Mediterranean enclave, to neighboring Arab countries.
• Trump’s plan includes relocating Palestinians to neighboring Arab countries, redeveloping the strip into the Middle East’s Riviera.
• Trump’s plan has three fundamental problems:
– Palestinians are not an imperial possession that can be bombed and relocated at will.
– Arab countries, including many of America’s allies, have rejected Trump’s proposal.
– Trump’s vision of rebuilding Gaza aligns with the Israeli far-right’s agenda of resettling the land with Jewish settlers.
• The U.S. should work towards a lasting, just solution that acknowledges Palestinian rights and upholds peace and stability in the region.
