    • The report predicts that by 2030, around half of the world’s adolescents will live in multiburden countries with complex health challenges.

    • It also predicts that by 2030, 464 million adolescents will be overweight, and 42 million years of healthy life will be lost due to mental disorders or suicide.

    • The report highlights that funding for adolescent health is not sufficient and is not targeted to areas of greatest need.

    • The commission, launched in 2021, includes 44 commissioners, with 10 youth commissioners and 122 adolescents participating in Youth Solution Labs.

    • The report also highlights the impact of social media on the lives of the ‘first global generation of digital natives’.

    • The report calls for laws and policies to protect adolescent sexual and reproductive health, reduce commercial determinants of health, and promote healthy use of social media and online spaces.
