Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh Appointed as Next Air Force Chief
• Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh, currently the Vice-Chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF), has been appointed as the next Chief of the Air Staff.
• Singh, a graduate of the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, and the National Defence College, has over 5,000 hours of flying experience on various aircraft.
• He has commanded an operational fighter squadron and a frontline air base, led the MiG-29 upgrade project management team in Moscow, and served as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief at the Central Air Command.
• Singh is a recipient of the Param Vishisht Seva Medal and the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal.
