Animal sacrifice for Id, Urs at Vishalgad dargah allowed by HC
• Bombay High Court permits animal sacrifice at Vishalgad Fort in Kolhapur district.
• The decision was challenged by the Hazrat Peer Malik Rehan Mira Saheb Dargah Trust.
• The ban is based on Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act and a 1998 Aurangabad Bench judgment.
• The court ruled that conditions imposed last year, including private and enclosed space, will apply this year.
• The same conditions apply to the present plea and to devotees who sacrifice animals during Bakrid and Urs.
