Army chief authorized to recruit TAs

• The Chief of Army Staff has been empowered to call on Territorial Army officers for essential support.

• The notification, issued by the Department of Military Affairs, will remain in effect for three years from February 10, 2025 to February 09, 2028.

• Out of the 32 Territorial Army Infantry Battalions, 14 can be deployed in various commands.

• The Territorial Army currently has a strength of approximately 50,000 personnel, comprising 65 Departmental units and several Non-Departmental TA units.
