As GBA takes effect, three more companies may

• The Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, 2024, will allow one to seven municipal corporations with up to 150 wards.

• Current civic limits will likely be divided into three corporations.

• Until new corporations are notified, the current Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will continue.

• The Brand Bengaluru Committee and Joint Legislature Committee recommended the Greater Bengaluru Authority for governance.

• The Urban Development Department (UDD) has confirmed the current civic limits will be the new Greater Bengaluru Area.
