As India’s 58th Tiger Reserve, Madhav National Park in M.P. will soon welcome more big cats.
• Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav declared Madhav National Park in Madhya Pradesh as the country’s 58th tiger reserve.
• The reserve is the ninth from the State to receive the recognition.
• Located in Shivpuri district, the reserve has a population of five tigers, including two cubs.
• The reserve was introduced in 2023 as part of the tiger reintroduction project in the State.
• Chief Minister Mohan Yadav could release two more tigers into the reserve.
• PM Shiri Narendra Modi congratulated the move and praised India’s wildlife diversity and culture.
• Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the development.
