• Nehkam Jomhao, a Thadou community leader, was allegedly killed by Kuki extremists in Assam.

• Jomhao was abducted from his residence in Manja and later killed.

• No Kuki extremist group has claimed responsibility for Jomhao’s death.

• Six people, including members of the Kuki Revolutionary Army, were arrested and confessed to killing Jomhao.

• Thadou organizations claim Jomhao was murdered for pursuing peace with the Meiteis, a defiance of Kuki armed groups.

• The Thadou Students’ Association-General Headquarters and Thadou Community International (TCI) claim Jomhao was killed in cold blood.
