• The deposed Awami League of Bangladesh (AL) has begun to mobilise globally, challenging the interim government led by Chief Adviser Mohammad Yunus.
• AL leaders, including joint secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, have criticized the Constitution Reforms Commission’s recommendations for fundamental changes to Bangladesh’s state.
• Former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud has taken refuge in Belgium, while the All European Awamii League has held meetings in Belgium to protest mob justice and police system breakdown.
• Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), which was in sync with the interim government, is no longer extending unconditional support.
• BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir echoed the Awami League’s concerns, stating that changes proposed by the reform commissions will not be accepted without party consensus.
