    • Chief Adviser of the interim government, Muhammad Yunus, predicts Bangladesh’s national elections could occur between late 2025 and early 2026.

    • The election schedule will be determined by the extent of reforms to be implemented.

    • Yunus stated that if political consensus requires only a few key reforms and a flawless voter list, elections could take place by late 2025.

    • If additional reforms are recommended by the Electoral Reforms Commission and supported by national consensus, it may require an additional six months.

    • Yunus also mentioned a meeting with 19 EU ambassadors, indicating the EU’s readiness to offer Bangladesh full support and cooperation.

    • He also noted the restoration of confidence among donor agencies, including the World Bank, regarding the future of Bangladesh’s economy
