    • Border Security Force (BSF) chief Daljit Singh Chawdhary reports a significant decrease in infiltration along the Bangladesh border following political developments in August 2024.

    • Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) and BSF held Director General-level talks from February 16 to 20 after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government.

    • BGB Director-General, Major General Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, refutes reports of attacks on minorities and argues that these incidents are part of a political problem.

    • BSF and BGB agree to share real-time information and investigation reports on human traffickers for effective border management.

    • Joint inspections of areas will be initiated to resolve fencing issues.

    • BSF raised the issue of attacks on its personnel at the meeting.
