• The order was issued on February 3, 2019, by Bhopal Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, invoking the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) Section 163(2).
• Violations of the regulations will result in prosecution under BNSS Section 223.
• The order also cites the criminal history of those involved in begging and the involvement of people from other states and cities.
• A shelter home at a community health centre in Bhopal’s Kolar area has been reserved for rehabilitating beggars.
• Legal action will be taken against anyone who violates the order.
