Bihar’s electoral struggle will be divided into two phases

• The Bihar Assembly election will occur in two phases for all 243 constituencies.

• First phase polling is scheduled for November 6 (121 constituencies).

• Second phase polling will be on November 11 (122 constituencies).

• Vote counting will take place on November 14, as stated by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

• Byelections in various states will also be held on November 11, with counting on the same day.

• Bihar has 203 general constituencies, 2 for Scheduled Tribes, and 38 for Scheduled Castes.

• The state has 7.43 crore eligible voters: approximately 3.92 crore men, 3.5 crore women, and 1,725 transgender individuals.

• There are 14.01 lakh first-time voters (ages 18-19), 1.63 crore aged 20-29, 4.04 lakh very senior citizens (over 85), 14,000 centenarians, 1.63 lakh service electors, and 7.2 lakh voters with disabilities.

• Gazette notifications for the first phase will be issued on October 10; nominations can be filed until October 17.

• For the second phase, notifications will be released on October 13, with nominations open until October 20.

• Voters can report errors in the electoral roll to the District Magistrate, and eligible persons can add their names until 10 days before nominations close.
