BPF chief sworn in as head of Bodoland Territorial Council

• Hagrama Mohilary was sworn in as Chief Executive Member of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in Kokrajhar, Assam.

• The BTC administers the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), which includes five districts near Bhutan.

• Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath to Mohilary and Deputy Chief Rihon Daimary, along with ten Executive Members.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Mohilary on his fourth term after a five-year gap, emphasizing government support for the BTC.

• Mohilary expressed his commitment to fulfilling Bodofa Upendranath Brahma’s vision for development in Bodoland.

• The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other officials, who pledged support to the new BTC leadership.
