Cold Start Drill to Test Drones and Counter-Drone Systems

• Joint exercise to test drones and counter-drone systems, “Cold Start,” to be held in Madhya Pradesh in October.

• The drill is the largest since Operation Sindoor, aiming to assess the effectiveness and shortcomings of current air defence capabilities.

• The exercise will involve industry partners, research agencies, academia, and other stakeholders.

• Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, emphasized India’s counter-drone and GPS jamming systems’ effectiveness during Operation Sindoor.
