    “Dead Heat” in US Presidential Election

    • With just two days left until elections, polls have labeled the race as “dead heat.”
    • Kamala Harris, a Democrat, is narrowly ahead of Donald Trump, with an estimated lead of one percentage point.
    • NBC News, Emerson College, Ipsos, and AtlasIntel have projected a 49%-49% tie nationally, with Harris having a three-point lead.
    • The margins are even closer in the seven “battleground” states.
    • New York Times-Siena polls show Trump ahead in Arizona (49% vs 45%), close to the 3% error margin.
    • In other six states, Harris is marginally ahead in four and tied in two.
