Delhi RRTS Section to Inaugurate
• The 13-km section of the Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) between New Ashok Nagar and Sahibabad in Uttar Pradesh is set to be inaugurated.
• The section, previously scheduled for Sunday, will now be inaugurated in the first week of January due to national mourning following the death of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
• The Namo Bharat train currently operates from Sahibabad to Meerut.
• Two stations in Delhi – New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar – will become operational with the inauguration.
• The Anand Vihar RRTS will also function as a transit hub, providing access to the Pink and Blue lines of the Delhi metro, Anand Vihar railway station, and Delhi and Kaushambi (U.P.) Inter State Bus Terminals.
