    Delhi’s Dramatic Comeback Against Assam

    • Delhi’s dramatic turnaround on Monday led to its first outright victory of the Raji Trophy season.
    • The hosts were trailing by 116 runs in the first innings with four wickets in hand.
    • Sumit Mathur and Siddhant Sharma, despite their primary skill being with the ball, showed their all-round utility by securing a 166-run partnership off 235 deliveries for the eighth wicket.
    • Mathur, a left-arm spinner, scored his maiden First Class hundred in his second appearance.
    • Siddhant Sharma, a left-arm seamer, also made 89, helping Delhi reach 454.
    • Assam’s skipper Denish Das, who was injured off his first ball, is a concern in the dressing room.
    • Assam manager Sudip Chakraborty confirmed that Das is doing okay and will undergo a scan.
