• Disappointing performance for Indian athletes at World Para Athletics Championships, with no top-five finishes among six competitors.

• India currently ranks 12th in the medal tally, while Brazil leads with 10 medals, just ahead of China.

• Notable world records set during the event:

– Ruzhdi from Bulgaria achieved a new world record in men’s Shot Put F55 at 12.94m.

– Abdul Latif Romly from Malaysia completed a hat-trick in long jump T20 with a jump of 7.67m.

– Volodymyr Ponomarenko from Ukraine set a Shot Put T12 record at 17.39m.

– Salum Ageze Kashafali from Norway clocked 10.42 seconds in the 100m T12, breaking his own record.

• Best Indian performance came from Vikas in long jump T47, finishing sixth with a 6.96m jump.

• Parveen Kumar placed eighth in men’s javelin throw F57 with a throw of 41.92m; Hem Chandra placed 10th.

• Women’s events saw Nassima Saifi retaining her title in Discus Throw F57, and Catherine Debrunner winning the 5000m T54 in 12:18.29.
