    • The government reports a decrease in women’s labor force participation in rural and urban areas.

    • The unemployment rate for people aged 15 and above remained at 5.6% in May and June 2025.

    • The decline in women’s participation in the labor force is attributed to seasonal agricultural patterns and intense summer heat limiting outdoor work.

    • The share of rural female workers in agriculture dropped from 70.2% in May to 69.8% in June, indicating a reduced need for agricultural engagement among women.

    • The LFPR in current weekly status among all persons aged 15 and above was 54.2% in June 2025, compared to 54.8% in May 2025.

    • Males aged 15 and above in rural and urban areas were 78.1% and 75% in June 2025, marking a marginal decline from May 2025.

    • For females, the LFPR for age 15 years and above in rural areas was 35.2% in June 2025, compared to 36.9% in May and 38.2% in April.

    • The unemployment rate for females and males of all ages above 15 was 5.6%.
