    • Retail inflation reached a 77-month low of 2.1% in June, marking the eighth consecutive month of food inflation decrease.

    • Wholesale inflation also contracted after 20 months, driven by easing food prices.

    • The drop in crude oil prices further lowered wholesale inflation.

    • The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for June was the last time the index’s growth was lower than in January 2019.

    • The food and beverages category saw a contraction of 0.2% in June, compared to 8.4% in June 2024.
