Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Taliban’s Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi Meet in UAE

• Misri and Muttaqi agreed to promote use of Iranian port of Chabahar for trade with India.

• India will provide “further material support” for Afghanistan in refugee rehabilitation and health.

• The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that India will support the health sector and refugee rehabilitation.

• The meeting also discussed strengthening cricket cooperation.

• The agreement also includes promoting the use of Chabahar port for trade and humanitarian assistance.
